BIOBUZZ Game Strategy
Before building a ROBOT or choosing ROBOT concepts it is important to analyze the game strategy and figure out which tasks matter most. To do this, we evaluated every scoring action based on its difficulty and point value and set clear goals for teams with different experience levels.
As explained in the Game Strategy, it is better for Intermediate Teams to focus on HIVE TIPS rather than scoring in FLOWERS.
AUTO
The robot launches SCORING ELEMENTS into the HIVE to achieve 1 or 2 TIPS and afterwards completes the PARK and LEAVE actions.

The starting position and actions depend on the ALLIANCE partner.
  1. Start at C1/D6 (GARDEN) and shoot 4 pre-loaded POLLEN into the HIVE (1 TIP)
  2. Collect POLLEN from the GARDEN at A1/F6
  3. Go to C6/D1 and shoot
  4. Collect POLLEN from FLOWER 1
  5. Go to C6/D1 and shoot (2 TIP)
  6. Go to square A5/F2 to PARK and LEAVE
  1. Start at C6/D1 (FLOWER)
  2. Wait for the ALLIANCE partner to shoot into the HIVE from C1/D6 (1 TIP)
  3. Shoot 4 pre-loaded POLLEN into the HIVE
  4. Collect POLLEN from FLOWER 1
  5. Go to C6/D1 and shoot (full tip 2)
  6. Go to A5/F2 to PARK and LEAVE
TELEOP
  • SCORE (2:00 - 0:10)
    1. During the first 110 seconds of TELEOP, focus on picking up SCORING ELEMENTS and launching them into the HIVE aiming for at least 5 TIPS (1 TIP every 20 seconds)
  • PARK (00:10 - 00:00)
In the last 5-10 seconds, drive your robot to the LOADING ZONE and PARK before time runs out.
MATCH & RANKING POINTS
With optimal play, an Intermediate robot can score a total of 153 points and earn up to 6 RANKING POINTS (RPs).
